1. Review and understand your customer's mortgage needs.

2. Make sure your customer has signed the necessary compliance documentation.

Before you begin the application you must have your customer sign these documents.
|

3. Gather your customer's information.
 |
|
 |
It's usually best to enter this information when the customer is available to you, either by phone or
in person. You'll need the following items:

Name, address & phone numbers
 |
|
|
 |
Social Security Number(s)
 |
|
|
 |
Details on the home they are purchasing (price, down payment, etc.)
 |
|
|
 |
Employer and monthly income information
 |
|
|
 |
Details of their assets
 |

Information on any real estate that they currently own
 |

4. Provide the requested information in easy-to-follow SIMPLE STEPS.

you recieve a message to please call us, that simply means that your customer may not fit the parameters of our

6. Once your customer has received a decision, you can finalize the mortgage.

Once you've received an approval you'll see that your customer most likely has been approved for multiple
programs. You'll need to select the loan program, choose how many points will be paid and decide whether it's
time to lock in the rate. Once you're comfortable with the whole package, please print out the Good Faith
Estimate (GFE) for your customer and review the closing conditions.

7. Stay in contact with a Loan Counselor and provide status updates with customer through phone calls or e-mails.
